Caroline Ashby (M. Phil)

A degree in Printed Textiles from Chelsea School of Art, & an M.Phil in Constructed Textiles from Middlesex University plus lecturing in the areas of Design and Textiles lead Caroline into consulting in the area of Software for Design and commercial software development.

 

Caroline formed CAD for CAD in 1993 to supply PC based Computer Aided Design solutions to the Clothing & Textiles industry and continues to promote new technology for design. Publications - Software by Design / CAD in Clothing & Textiles edited by Winifred Aldrich, published by Blackwell Scientific Publications 1992.

Ian Dewar

After a formal training in mechanical engineering Ian transferred to the clothing industry and operated as an Industrial Engineer / Project Manager. Brands such as Playtex®, Lee Cooper®, Levis®, Slimma® and other leading garment suppliers have utilised his Design Management, Product Development, Operations, & Performance Improvement expertise.

 

Having also undertaken projects in the Banking, Medical, Dental and Engineering sectors, he co-founded CAD for CAD with Caroline Ashby, bringing to the company not only Manufacturing & Systems Development skills but unique knowledge of Design Management and Product Development.
